Caring Mail: Holiday Wishes for Former Foster Youth

November 18, 2022 - December 12, 2022
  • « Expressing Gratitude to Veterans
  • Caring Mail: Messages of Cheer for Isolated Community Members »
During these weeks when
families gather in thanks,
we encourage you to include
a service project
that reaches out to others.
This holiday season, Cubs & their families will make holiday-themed messages of hope, cheer & encouragement for isolated young adults who are lovingly supported by Community of Hope’s dedicated volunteer teams. Our messages will be included with a delivery of holiday gifts.
Community of Hope is a Cleveland nonprofit that creates long-lasting relationships for youth who have aged-out of foster care. Each young person gets a team of adult volunteers who meet with them weekly and help them navigate adulthood. These teams/communities often become second families and stay together for many years.
When youth age-out of foster care, they often are left completely alone. Through the work of long-term volunteers, Community of Hope creates permanent social supports for youth and their children. Community of Hope believes in helping youth reach their fullest potential by linking them to personal and professional networks to improve access and opportunity to better jobs, better housing, better educational opportunities, and more solid community connections. With over 592 volunteers and over 80 teams, Community of Hope serves around 140 young people a year.
Detailed instructions will arrive via email once you register.
