Making Treats for Dogs at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter

January 16, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 11:45 am

This virtual project will benefit furry friends at Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter. We’ll meet online to learn about the shelter’s services, share a book about pet adoption, and have a demonstration of how to make no-bake Pumpkin Popper dog treats. Registered families will receive a zoom link + the simple recipe so they can personally make & deliver treats directly to the shelter.

Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is a temporary home for dogs that are found on the streets by the county dog wardens. Dogs are held for 72 hours in order for the owner to claim them. After the holding period, unclaimed dogs may be available for adoption.

If you are unable to join us and would like a no-contact way of supporting the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter, their wishlist is another way to be helpful community members. Include your kids in choosing what to give; talk about why wishlists are important, so supporters give when organizations want and need (rather than guessing). It’s a great opportunity to teach about the variety of ways we can be helpful to others!
