November 2 – Annual Service Project at Cuyahoga Community College

November 2, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

115 Caring Cubs volunteers participated in our annual service project at Cuyahoga Community College on Saturday, November 2! We were fortunate to be hosted for the 6th consecutive year by the Tri-C Early Childhood Education Program! Volunteers from the education program helped the cubs make 86 guiros (musical instruments made from paper towel rolls) that will be used in the next few weeks in local classrooms. Our families donated 382 children’s books, 63 gloves, 33 winter hats, 26 glove/hat combos, and 4 scarves for children receiving services at the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services. They also decorated and made personal notes on 52 “thinking of you” cards that will be distributed with the donations. We also colored and added holiday greetings to 226 holiday cards for the Red Cross’ Holidays for Heroes program. Thank you to all the families that were so generous with their donations! We love watching the children and parents work together to decorate cards, add personal messages, and spread holiday cheer in our community!
