Caring Cubs honored service members at our November volunteer project by decorating 328 holiday cards for local veterans and military families as well as collecting 435 new hats and gloves for the Cuyahoga County Division of Child and Family Services.

79 Cubs and their grown-ups gathered today for our Festival of Caring. We sang songs, read stories, and played games teaching caring and kindness. Then we made gifts to share with others: cards for community helpers, cat toys and hot socks for animals in shelters, and puzzle sticks for seniors with dementia. Caring Cubs spent a bright Sunday afternoon learning about upcycling and spreading joy to others. Our cubs joined forces with NCJW and BigHearted Blooms to decorate vases (brought from home) for recipients of repurposed flowers. Caring Cubs and their families created place mats and cards for Mobile Meals of Summit County and decorated “Hungry Kate” pictures at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank yesterday. Cubs also donated 68lbs of food to the foodbank. Thank you to all who attended!
