Appreciating Nurses on the Frontline: A Caring Cubs Home-Based Project

April 8 - April 15

Research shows that doing kind & helpful actions calms the mind. By releasing “good” brain chemicals to counteract and soothe the “stress” ones, altruism buffers our systems during anxious times. At Caring Cubs, we believe wholeheartedly that being a caring community member is one of the best ways to cope with life’s uncertainties. We hope that doing this project together as a family, from your home, will help buoy you through this time.

Appreciating Nurses on the Frontlines
During this stay-at-home time, cubs and their families will send messages of gratitude & encouragement to frontline nurses on Ahuja Medical Center’s nursing team.

University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center is a 144-
bed community hospital focused on patient and family-centered care and the principles of evidence-based design. Comprised of over 500 nurses, Ahuja’s nursing team strives to empower, advocate and innovate to achieve excellence in human caring. As hospitals adjust to the state’s regional plan for COVID response, Ahuja’s nurses will continue to be on the frontlines.

Our goal is to make cards for as many Ahuja nurses as possible!
