Care-A-Thon: Caring Mail to Accompany Masks for Non-COVID Health Care Staff at Univ. Hospitals
April 10 - April 15
We have received a special
request to make as many messages as we can by Wednesday April 15th
to accompany cloth masks that are being distributed to University Hospitals staff who are serving in non-COVID roles.
The 100,000 Masks Project has a goal of distributing 100,000 handmade fabric masks to non-COVID providers across UH’s many campuses and departments. Each staff member — including doctors, nurses, lab techs, front desk staff, and more — will receive a few washable masks so they can have one to wear while the others are in the wash.
The project would like to include messages of appreciation with each set of masks they give. While we know Caring Cubs cannot make 28,000 messages this weekend, a few hundred would be an amazing contribution!
University Hospitals offers the region’s largest network of primary care physicians, outpatient centers and hospitals. More than 28,000 physicians and employees constitute University Hospitals and its partnership hospitals.
Our goal is to make cards for as many UH staff as we can!
How It Works
Registered families will receive instructions, sample messages, and a mailing address.
We ask that you mail your messages by Wednesday, April 15th. Because this is an extra project with a quick turnaround, we are calling it a Weekend Care-A-Thon. If you are up for the challenge, we hope you will join this Rapid Response team!
Please plan for each registrant to make at least 5 messages.
