We all know how important birthdays are to kids, which is why Caring Cubs hosted “Everybody’s Birthday” in March. This birthday themed event benefited the children staying at Laura’s Home, a local woman’s crisis center that serves homeless women and children. The children staying at Laura’s Home have their birthdays recognized in a monthly celebration at the center. This event was a great opportunity for parents to explain that not everybody has a party, presents, or even a home, but we can do our part to make sure their special day gets the recognition it deserves!
At the event, Caring Cubs made birthday cards, read birthday themed books, and listened to a short, age-appropriate presentation about Laura’s Home given by Jaime Buxton, the center’s preschool director.
